On February 7, 2026, New York City becomes the epicenter of Caribbean cultural expression as Jamrock Museum proudly presents ROOTS, RHYTHM & STYLE, an immersive arts exhibition honoring the artistic legacy and global impact of Jamaican creativity. In partnership with The Reggae Museum and The Dancehall Museum, and curated by YardRock TV, this landmark event serves as the official U.S. kickoff to Reggae Month 2026, a moment dedicated to celebrating Jamaica’s indelible influence on world culture through art, music, style, identity, and storytelling.
Set inside the historic Holy Apostles Ballroom in Chelsea, Manhattan, the exhibition gathers a groundbreaking assembly of artists, photographers, fashion historians, designers, stylists, and cultural scholars. Together, they illuminate the vibrant aesthetic traditions born on the island—traditions that traveled the world, reshaping art, music, fashion, and global pop culture. From the Rude Bwoy era to the Dancehall Queen revolution, from Rastafari iconography to contemporary Caribbean futurism, ROOTS, RHYTHM & STYLE showcases the evolution of Jamaican artistic expression with unprecedented depth and visual richness.
This year’s exhibition also serves as the cultural prelude to the Jamrock Awards, the museum’s signature honors ceremony celebrating excellence, innovation, and influence across reggae, dancehall, fashion, and Caribbean arts. Held during Reggae Month, the Jamrock Awards recognize the artists, cultural architects, visionaries, and pioneers whose contributions continue to advance Jamaican culture on the global stage. While the recipients remain a surprise, the presence of the awards adds a powerful layer of prestige and anticipation, reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a cornerstone event within Jamaica’s worldwide cultural celebration.
Together, ROOTS, RHYTHM & STYLE and the Jamrock Awards establish an immersive cultural narrative—one that honors the past, celebrates the present, and shapes the future of Jamaican artistic identity. This transformative experience invites audiences to witness the depth, brilliance, and global resonance of Jamaica’s creative heartbeat, all within one unforgettable night in New York City.
